Aortic dissection is a serious condition in which blood passes through the inner lining of the aorta and tears it into two channels. This condition can be diagnosed by a number of tests. Its symptoms include severe pain in chest and back. It is a curable condition but if left uncured it can lead to the death of the patient within two weeks from the onset of the disorder.
